Pictured are just a few of the many items handcrafted by Beta Rho Chapter of DKG members. The items will be for sale at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church by chapter members. There will also be a sale of homemade baked goods by the Beta Rho members at The Rosemont Inn the same day.
Beta Rho’s Bake Sale and Craft Fair at Christmas in Montrose
Over a year ago, Beta Rho’s Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG)
members voted to be a part of Christmas in Montrose with a craft fair and bake sale and so the
planning began. Members Teresa Cavalier took charge of the crafting and Peggy Walker the
bake sale. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church generously allowed the chapter to set up and sell their
handcrafted items at the church and The Rosemont Inn has agreed to let the chapter have its bake
sale there.
Members have been busy little elves working individually as well as meeting together to produce
a huge array of handmade crafts for eager shoppers who attend Christmas in Montrose the first
weekend of December. The results are knitted and crocheted items, button crafts, original tile
coasters, handcrafted wooden items, hand beaded jewelry, gift card holders, gift bags, soap and
tissue holders, nail files in holders, a huge variety of paper crafted items, unique note cards and
notebooks, crocheted luggage identification, dish cloths and towels as well as crafts for all ages
at reasonable prices. Christmas cookies, cinnamon buns, breads, and pies are just a sampling of
the delicious homemade baked goods which will be on sale.
