Beta Rho Chapter Supports New Teachers
Members of the Beta Rho Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society
International (DKG) contribute supplies for baskets to be given to support teachers early
in their career. This international project of the society is called S.E.E. (Support for
Early Career Educators) selected because statistics show that early career educators
are leaving the teaching profession after only three to five years. Pictured are members
Sarah Richard and Gail Franko presenting to teachers holding the baskets, Lauren
Gratz, a 5th and 6th grade learning support teacher and Marisa Ryon, a kindergarten
teacher. All four women are teachers at the Lackawanna Trail Elementary Center.
DKG is an international society of women educators whose mission is to promote
personal and professional growth of women educators and excellence in education.
Beta Rho Chapter members represent Bradford, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.
